Cuore remained the only segment of the company, whose sales experienced a substantial decline of 32 percent to 3,186 units as against sales of 4,663 units in the same period last year.Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HCAR) witnessed a biggest decline of 34 percent in its sales with 7,999 units sold in the nine-month period against 12,114 units in the same period of previous year.
The plunge in the sales of Honda Cars was primarily because of the substantially lower sales of its brands Honda City and Civic.Sales of Honda Civic declined by 27 percent to 3,747 units as against the sales of 5,151 units; while sales of Honda City decreased by 39 percent to 4,252 units as against 6,963 units in the same period last year.
The main reason behind overall decline in sales of the company was the suspended operations owing to unavailability of auto parts due to devastating floods in Thailand from where the company imports CKD kits.
